About Our School

1. Faulty intention

The base intention of education has been narrowed down to how much money it could earn you. Most youngsters study today so that they could get a job. So a youngster would want to become a Doctor not because he loves to heal people but because it has better financial prospects.

We need to change this.

Ideally, the pursuit of education should be interest and passion driven. Money follows passion.

2. Massacre of Passion and Creativity

As the sole intention is Money, a child who is greatly interested in music is compelled to do engineering which he terribly hates. And so, our ill-mentality has compartmentalised the education and passion and divided different children into superior and inferior categories: so say if a child is pursuing biology and science, that child is a prodigy; if one chooses to take commerce, one will still doing fine; but wait, why did that child opt for Humanities or Arts! Is that child dumb!

I can be good at music or art or oratory but I have no interests in science. How does it make me stupid? Not everyone can master everything.

We need to change this.

It is because of this mentality that we have lost so many artistic profession our country once was famous for!

Ideally, one who follows his heart and does what he is good at is the one who leads a happy and successful life.

3. Dictatorial Structure

The Parents and the teachers decide what to teach to their children. Nobody is bothered to ask the child if he really thinks it is going to help.

We need to change this.

We need to involve children in decision making. No point in teaching a cat to fly. You need to ask the child what amuses him. And then work on to polish that.

4. Synthetic learning

Neither teachers nor parents have a clue why they are imposing on their children the unnecessary learnings that are of no use. This gives birth to artificial learning and the process is called Mugging. The child only remembers whatever he learns till the exam gets over. The only thing it is capable of offering is unnecessary burden on the delicate shoulders of our children. No point of such learning.

This needs to change.

We dwell in information age and anything about almost everything is available at the tip of our fingers. What is needed is to teach our children the life values and the art of using the resources in a manner that benefits all.

5. Lectures

Lecturing is like injecting learning into a childs brain which is impossible to do.

This needs to change.

We learn more by discussion and participation. Ideally, the environment of classroom should be of collaborative learning.

6. Negative Reinforcements / Punishments

A school is a temple of learning, not a prison. Everybody makes mistakes. And every mistake is a blessing in disguise as it teaches us a lesson no one else could. Negativity and Punishments should always stay outside the school premises.

Goodness is contagious and if we set examples for our students, it leaves strong imprints in their character too.

7. Autonomy threatened

A child must be given autonomy in making decision about his interests and subjects. We are here to guide them, not to force-feed them.

8. Absence of Moral and Spiritual Values

It is a disgrace that the children of our country which revealed to world the superiorly sacred secrets of spiritual growth are completely unaware of the wonders of self. This is one of the main reason for the so steep moral decline of our society in last few decades.

This needs to change.

We religiously believe in value based education and are committed to show the children the great cultural and spiritual heritage this great country has treasured for centuries.
